The conference Law and the End of Anthropocentrism. Judiciary and Climate Change; Ecocide as an international crime is organized by Utrecht University and the Dutch Association for Environmental Law. We have invited Brian Preston, Honourable Justice Land and Environment Court of New South Wales (Australia), to speak about ‘Judiciary and climate change: ensuring government and corporate accountability’. Reflections will be given by Prof Jaap Spier, Senior Associate of the Cambridge Insitute for Sustainability Leadership, and by Prof Frank Biermann, Utrecht University, Director of the ERC Global Goals project. Secondly, Prof Christina Voigt, Oslo University, Chair of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, will be speaking about Ecocide as an International Crime. Reflections will be given bij Prof Cedric Ryngaert, Utrecht University.
